Today is supposed to be video Wednesday, but we’re moving that to Thursday because tonight is a BIG NIGHT for Baxter.

We love love love! hate to admit it, but Baxter is partial to one particular team. I’ve mentioned this before, but for those of you who are new here – let me give you a hint:

Yep, that’s right… Bax is a Terp! There is just something about a turtle that he can’t resist. Or, maybe there is something fostermom can’t resist about her alma mater, and fostermom’s preferences become Baxter’s preferences since she is in control of the food. Just a thought.

Tonight is the UMD vs. DUKE basketball game! This is big. You guys understand this kind of rivalry, right? It goes a little something like this:

Well, Bax is very aware of this importance of this game as well. He is voicing his Terrapin pride loud and clear!

And looking rather cute while he does it.

Now that I’ve shoved a full dose of Fear The Turtle in your direction, I would love if you headed over to the Peace, Love, & Fostering Facebook page and shared pictures of your pups in your favorite sports gear. In case you hadn’t noticed, I kind of have a thing for a dog in an adorable outfit. Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Baxter the QB

Sometimes I try to convince Baxter that he needs to be a Terps football player.

Don’t you think so? He looks so good in the jersey, and he is definitely athletic enough.

He doesn’t agree. He thinks football is boring. He thinks the people who play with footballs are silly. . . especially UMD football, thanks to the season they had this year (low blow, Bax).

"What are you even doing?"

"Ick. Footballs."

He says he likes the Terps jersey, but this is all he wants to do in it:

Oh well, at least I tried. I guess we’ll need to look into other hobbies for him. He did mention something about competitive napping last week. . .
