Play With Me

I’ve had dogs with all types of personalities. I’ve had dogs that are snugglers, and dogs that like space. I’ve had dogs that solicit attention, and ones who could care less if you give them a behind-the-ear scratch or not. I’ve had dogs who get annoyed when you try to play with them, and I’ve had dogs who love all the ways you spend your time together.

Otis is that last one. He really likes to play, and he’ll put up with anything.

And I LOVE it.

In fact, I totally can’t get enough of it.

Playing with this pup makes my whole day better. I can’t wait for him to brighten someone else’s life as much as he has mine. But until then, I’m going to soak up every bit of happiness, love, and playfulness Honey Bunches sends my way.

Spending Time With My Foster Grandparents

I got some great news from fostermama yesterday. She told me I get to spend a lot of quality time with my foster grandparents in the next few days! I looooove my foster grandparents. I think all of you know how this goes: mama makes the rules, grandparents break em – always working in my favor!

My foster grandma is so nice to me… she also happens to the be the treat lady (see above). She likes to play “Which hand?” and that is a game I really like. It gets me using my sniffer and I always get a treat. I also hang out with her on the couch a lot. Her and I like to relax together. Perhaps do some reading?

So I’m really excited to spend the next few days with her and foster grandpa all to myself! But I really wanna know… where is fostermama going??

Pawsitively In Love

Okay, I’ll admit this one – just like I admitted how much I love Baxter’s butt: I have a thing for Baxter’s paws. Not only are they attached to the end of long muscular legs, but something about them that makes you want to continually give him high fives.

There are a lot of “puppy” things about Baxter – his big brown eyes, his usual occasional lack of common sense, his inability to be spatially aware. I often get the, “Wowhe is two years old!?” response when I correct age estimates for him. One major thing that Baxter has seemingly kept from his puppy hood are his big, oafy paws. It appears he simply never grew into them.

His little paw digits spread out for many occasions, my favorite of which being when he stretches in his sleep. They expose the skin between his toes, giving the illusion of webbed feet. Baxter the duck? And the way he bats them around now that he knows the “paw” command has become one of his most adorable antics.

I love a lot of things about Baxter, but his appendages have really moved up there on my list – now competing with his goblin ear and his white skunk-impersonating chest.

How I Spent My LUV Day

I woke up yesterday feeling sorta funny… sorta like the day was gonna be a day full of extra kisses and hugs – something fostermama referred to as Valadine’s Day. Not sure why I felt this way, but it had me acting all silly for fostermama when she was trying to get ready for work in the morning. It was 7 am but I was wiggling all over the place. I think I am what they call crazy in love. What I’m in love with? I’m not sure of that either. But I know it was fun being goofy and making Fostermama laugh!

I tried really, really, really hard to convince her not to go to work so we could spend the whole day doing nothing! I put on my cutest, silliest antics to try and distract her.

She said it worked a little, and since it was Valadine’s Day she would stop and hang out with me for a bit before work. I was cool with that.

After a quick kiss on the face she told me we had to go to work now, so I put on my Valadine’s Day outfit and got my big licker ready. Bring onnn the lovin!

Work was great, as usual. I hung out with one of my Valadine’s named Dolce. She is one of those looks-smells-acts-like-a-dog-but-can’t-be-a-dog dogs. But she was wearing a pink sweater so I thought she looked pretty cayoot, especially when she had me as paw candy.

Then last night fostermama left me for this thing called a date, but I was sooo happy because it meant I got to hang out with fostergrandma! Fostergrandma is my favorite. She loves on me and makes sure I am always warm and have a full belly. We hung out watching American Idol together.

It was the best day! I hope you all had a great day smoochin on your animals for Valadine’s Day.
