Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! It’s hard to believe that celebrating Halloween last year was the weekend before I picked up Baxter! This year’s Halloween is much different than last year while I prep for The Love Ball, not for picking up my very first foster. It brings back some great memories of this little one though:

Gosh, I miss him! That was quite the Fall/Winter getting to know him and what it’s like to have a foster dog. Once this gala is over and done with I know the itch to have a dog will be back. Until then I will just enjoy the memories that the leaves and crisp air bring to me :)

What are you all dressing your dogs up this year!? Head over to the PLF Facebook page and show us some pictures!  Here are some silly costumes we saw at Pit Bull Awareness Day last weekend.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Pug Life

I have to take a break from the pitties and shelter dogs to share these adorable creatures as a “welcome to the weekend” celebration. I’ve never really been a pug person, but these guys really got to me at the Maine SPCA event that I wrote about last week. I mean look at their expressions. They just look so. . . lost? Confused? Scared? Regardless of what they’re thinking, I love them.

Happy Friday!

My New Hobby: Doggyoga

I am a new master at yoga for dogs doggyoga. FosterMama says she HATES yoga for humans, but she dislikes a lot of things that I enjoy (rolling in deer poop, jumping in excitement, waking up early) so I decided to give it a try. Turns out, I love it! I am so flexible.

I am just THRILLED that I found a hobby I like and am good at! Big smiles!

Have a great doggyoga filled weekend!

Costume Outtakes

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s photo of Otis being a bona fide biker pup! Despite his thrilled expression, in general he is not exactly one to cooperate for silly shoots. You’ve probably noticed by now that I love to dress my foster dogs up (hey, it helps them looks totally irresistible to adopters!) and Otis does not care for costumes in the slightest. Any half way decent photo of him wearing a silly get up is one of hundreds that I take over the course of a single shoot as he continuously tries to get the prop off. The end result is maybe one or two good photos, but a really awesome blooper reel!

Well, going through those certainly doesn’t make me feel any better as a foster mom! Oh my poor pups. As you can see, Otis is a really great sport for putting up with everything I make him do.

Happy Friday!

How to Co-Blog, Otie Style

Otie is really helpful when it comes to our evening blogging sessions.

Okay, that was a joke. Honey Bunches will wiggle his way riiiiight next to me on the couch while I’m posted up blogging, then proceed to start snoring. Loudly. Now I am not someone who is good at writing with distractions – and this guy is a BIG distraction. Luckily I can never get upset about it because he gets so darn comfy and cute all snuggled up there on the couch. Also because then he makes faces like this:

Right? Try keeping a straight face to THAT grin!

Have a great weekend!
